Derek O. Hanley is the founder of DOHP, a visual practice specializing in real-world product capture and embedded operational documentation for EMS and public safety environments.
A former U.S. Army & Air Force paramedic, his work is shaped by firsthand operational experience and long-term embedded access inside frontline environments. Through photography, film, and written observations, he focuses on documenting how people, products, and operations actually function under real-world conditions.
Hanley is also the author of Photos From the Front Lines, a long-form EMS documentation project created during the COVID-19 pandemic.
